WASHINGTON, Oct. 2 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is issuing a final rule to approve an update to the Alabama State Implementation Plan, which was submitted by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) on Dec. 20, 2023.

This action incorporates modifications to various air permit regulations that ADEM has adjusted since EPA last approved them. This approval ensures the state plan continues to meet the requirements of the Clean Air Act.
