EPA Proposes Updates to Air Pollution Standards for Secondary Lead Smelting

WASHINGTON, Oct. 1 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is proposing revisions to the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) for the Secondary Lead Smelting source category, as required under Clean Air Act section 112. The proposed rule addresses pollutants that were previously not regulated from this source category and resolves issues raised by outstanding petitions from the 2012 Secondary Lead Smelting Risk and Technology Review (RTR).
