WASHINGTON, Sept. 30 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Indian Affairs announced that the Salyersville Indian Community has filed a documented petition for federal acknowledgment as an American Indian tribe. BIA is now seeking comment and evidence from the public regarding the request.
