WASHINGTON, Sept. 30 -- Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, R-West Virginia, chairman of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, released the following opening statement from a Sept. 17, 2025, hearing entitled "Oversight of the US Army Corps of Engineers":
