National Institutes of Health Contemplates Patent License For Zika Virus Research

WASHINGTON, Sept. 26 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services National Institutes of Health National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases is considering giving an exclusive patent license to Advocate Aurora Research Institute, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The license would be for the inventions found in two patent applications related to Zika virus strains. These strains may serve as a therapeutic for glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) and other types of cancer.
