DES MOINES, Iowa, Sept. 16 -- The Iowa Department of Natural Resources issued the following news release:

Campground at Lewis and Clark State Park to close due to hazardous tree removal

ONAWA - Due to safety concerns created from dead or dying cottonwood trees, the Lewis and Clark State Park campground is closed until further notice. The DNR will remove hazardous trees while the campground is closed.
