WASHINGTON, Sept. 12 (TNSFR) -- The Abbe Museum, Bar Harbor, Maine, will be repatriating 16 funerary objects. These items have a cultural affiliation with the Houlton Band of Maliseet Indians, Mi'kmaq Nation, Passamaquoddy Tribe and the Penobscot Nation.
Among the 16 funerary objects are two red ochre samples, three charcoal samples and three hide and hair samples. Also included are two hair samples, one straw and pyrite sample and one pyrite, hide and hair sample. A stone plum . . .
