WASHINGTON, Sept. 11 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of the Interior Fish and Wildlife Service is undertaking 5-year status reviews for 122 species in Hawaii, Idaho, Oregon and Washington.
These reviews are a mandate of the Endangered Species Act of 1973. The purpose of this process is to assess the status of endangered and threatened plants and animals to ensure their listing classifications are supported by the best available scientific and commercial data.
