WASHINGTON, Sept. 11 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration has received an application from Biopharmaceutical Research Co., Castroville, California, to become a registered importer of controlled substances.

The company seeks to import marihuana extract, marihuana and tetrahydrocannabinols. These substances are classified as Schedule I controlled substances.
