WASHINGTON, Sept. 9 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Energy is delaying enforcement of provisions related to controls verification procedures for central air conditioners and heat pumps. This action is a final rule that amends the test procedures for these products. The delay is for one year, moving the date for applicability to July 7, 2026. This amendment to the test procedures for central air conditioners and heat pumps was approved by the Secretary of Energy.
