WASHINGTON, Sept. 9 (TNSFRinfo) -- The Securities and Exchange Commission is seeking an extension for a collection of information on Rule 17Ad-17, which requires certain transfer agents and broker-dealers to conduct searches for the correct addresses of securityholders who have been lost. Paying agents are also required to notify payees who have not negotiated their checks. The rule also has a requirement for entities to maintain records related to the searches and notifications.
