WASHINGTON, Sept. 4 (TNSFR) -- The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. has ended its role as receiver for the National Republic Bank of Chicago, Illinois.
This action terminates the receivership, discharging the FDIC from its duties and ceasing the entity's existence as a legal construct. The FDIC, which had the responsibility of closing the institution and liquidating its assets, has now finished its obligations and made all distributions to creditors as mandated by law.
