WASHINGTON, Sept. 4 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced that it is withdrawing a direct final rule concerning the management of coal combustion residuals (CCR) from electric utilities.
This withdrawal comes after the EPA received an adverse comment on the rule. The agency had previously stated in its direct final rule that if any adverse comment was submitted by August 21, 2025, the rule would not take effect and a withdrawal would be published in the Feder . . .
