BLM to Hold Competitive Coal Lease Sale in Alabama

WASHINGTON, Sept. 3 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management announced it will conduct a competitive coal lease sale for tracts in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. The action is a notice of coal lease sale and it is being held in response to two lease-by-applications (LBAs) submitted by Warrior Met Coal, Brookwood. The sale will be for federal coal resources on lands where the surface is privately owned.

The coal tracts are for the ALES-055797 and ALES-056 . . .
