WASHINGTON, Sept. 3 (TNSFR) -- A developer has taken the first step toward building a large-scale energy storage project near Dixfield, Maine, filing an application with federal regulators to study the feasibility of a pumped storage hydroelectric facility capable of generating up to 500 megawatts.
