WASHINGTON, Sept. 1 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has announced a proposal to approve a coal combustion residuals (CCR) permit program, as submitted by the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (WDEQ).

This decision, guided by the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), follows a thorough review determining that Wyoming's program meets the criteria for partial approval. If finalized, Wyoming's program would largely replace the federal CCR . . .
