WASHINGTON, Aug. 29 (TNSFR) -- A major environmental study by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission has concluded that continued operation of the Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant will not cause unreasonable negative environmental impacts. This determination paves the way for the facility to seek another 20 years of operating life. The plant, located near Decatur and Athens, Alabama, includes three reactor units.
