Maine PUC: Utilities Directed to Update Stranded Cost Rates

WASHINGTON, Aug. 29 (TNSdok) -- The Maine Public Utilities Commission, Augusta, has issued an order (Docket No. 2024-00137) directing the state's investor-owned transmission and distribution utilities to adjust their rates for stranded costs. The decision, issued on August 28, 2025, in a proceeding titled "Follow-On Proceeding to Further Investigate Stranded Cost Rate Design", implements legislation that changes how certain utility costs are recovered.
