EPA Faces Lawsuit, Sets Deadlines for Ozone Compliance in California, Arizona

WASHINGTON, Aug. 28 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is facing a lawsuit from two environmental groups that is compelling the agency to act on air quality standards in parts of California and Arizona.

The Center for Biological Diversity and the Center for Environmental Health filed a complaint alleging the EPA failed to determine if the Mariposa County, California, and Phoenix-Mesa, Arizona, areas met ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standards by their designate . . .
