CPSC Abandons Decade-Long Effort to Amend Information Disclosure Rule

WASHINGTON, Aug. 28 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has terminated a rulemaking process aimed at amending its information disclosure regulation, a project that had been underway for over a decade.

CPSC's action, finalized on August 28, 2025, withdraws a proposed rule that sought to change how the CPSC provides advance notice to manufacturers before releasing public information about consumer products.
