WASHINGTON, Aug. 27 (TNSFR) -- Tactical Electronics and Military Supply LLC, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, has petitioned the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration for a waiver to a regulation.
The company's request would grant it permission to use small unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) to dispense hazardous materials. The drones, which weigh less than 55 pounds, including their payload, are intended for use in research, development and testing.
