Kansas Historical Society Completes Inventory, Plans Repatriation to Pawnee Nation of Oklahoma

WASHINGTON, Aug. 25 (TNSFR) -- The Kansas State Historical Society, Topeka, has completed an inventory of Native American human remains and objects and will repatriate them to the Pawnee Nation of Oklahoma. The repatriation is being carried out under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) and includes remains and items from two separate sites.
The first set of items consists of 10 funerary objects, including jasper flakes, animal bone fragments, mollusks . . .
