WASHINGTON, Aug. 24 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has ended a decades-long prohibition on importing goatskin handicrafts from Haiti, a rule first put in place to prevent the spread of anthrax. The ban, which began in 1981, was lifted after the agency determined it no longer served a public health purpose.
