WASHINGTON, Aug. 22 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration is making a change to how highway projects are identified.
The agency is doing away with a long-standing rule that required a specific "AC" prefix on project numbers for "Advance Construction" projects. This alteration, which takes effect on September 22, 2025, is considered a step toward simplifying and modernizing the agency's processes.
