WASHINGTON, Aug. 20 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration is proposing to remove a section of controlled airspace at Carter Ranch Airport in Oakwood, Texas.
This proposal is a direct result of the cancellation of instrument procedures at the airfield, which has made the controlled airspace no longer necessary for safe operations. The specific area in question is a Class E airspace, which extends upward from 700 feet above the ground.
