Ky. PSC Halts Big Sandy Rural Electric Cooperative Rate Proposal

WASHINGTON, Aug. 19 (TNSdok) -- The Kentucky Public Service Commission, Frankfort, has suspended an application (Case No. 2025-00222) by Big Sandy Rural Electric Cooperative Corp., Paintsville, Kentucky, to adjust its customer rates. Filed on August 1, 2025, the application sought to pass through a wholesale rate change from its supplier, East Kentucky Power Cooperative Inc., Winchester. Big Sandy RECC proposed that the adjustments take effect on September 1, 2025.
