EPA Proposes Clarity on Sulfur Dioxide Rules

WASHINGTON, Aug. 14 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is moving to approve a revision to North Carolina's air quality regulations, aiming to tighten how companies measure sulfur dioxide (SO2) emissions.

The proposal clarifies that burning supplemental fuels beyond what's needed for normal operations cannot be used to meet state emission standards.
