EPA Council Bluffs Air Permit Revised for Metal Recycling Plant

WASHINGTON, Aug. 14 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has finalized an action to revise the Iowa State Implementation Plan (SIP), swapping out an older air construction permit for a modified one at Alter Metal Recycling in Council Bluffs. This change allows the recycling plant to adjust its silt load sampling frequency from a monthly to a quarterly basis, a change that was approved by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (IDNR).
