EPA Grants Partial Victory to Environmental Groups in Valero Permit Dispute

WASHINGTON, Aug. 14 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has responded to a petition concerning an air quality permit for the Valero Houston Refinery Tank Farm in Harris County, Texas.

The Texas Environmental Justice Advocacy Services, Caring for Pasadena Communities and the Lone Star Chapter of the Sierra Club, submitted the petition on December 3, 2024. They asked the EPA to object to the permit granted by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
