Interior Department Adjusts Offshore Revenue Cap

WASHINGTON, Aug. 13 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of the Interior Office of Natural Resources Revenue has amended its regulations to align with a federal law. The One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBB) altered how the Office of Natural Resources Revenue (ONRR) distributes money from offshore oil and gas production. ONRR has issued a direct final rule to amend its regulations at 30 CFR part 1219, ensuring consistency with the statute. The rule is effective immediately.
