WASHINGTON, Aug. 9 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration is proposing an amendment to the Class E airspace near George West, Texas. The change would affect the airspace around Live Oak County Airport and is prompted by the decommissioning of the Three Rivers very high frequency omnidirectional range (VOR). The VOR is being removed as part of a nationwide program to modernize air navigation systems.
