WASHINGTON, Aug. 7 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration has issued a notice announcing that the California Department of Transportation and other federal bodies have taken final actions to advance a major rehabilitation project for the Caldecott Tunnel. The work will focus on Bores 1, 2, and 3, with the goal of preserving their structural integrity, improving ventilation, and enhancing fire-response capabilities to extend the tunnels' lifespan.
