WASHINGTON, Aug. 7 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration has removed a long-standing directive that mandated repetitive inspections for cracking and corrosion on specific BAE Systems airplanes. The removed rule, Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2010-09-11, applied to all BAe 146-series and Avro 146-RJ series planes.
