WASHINGTON, Aug. 6 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Food and Drug Administration is contemplating a proposal to change the standard of identity for pasteurized orange juice. This move comes in response to struggles within the citrus sector, which has been impacted by a persistent bacterial disease and severe weather, including a major hurricane. The industry's troubles have led to a decline in the average level of soluble solids, or Brix, in oranges.
