WASHINGTON, Aug. 6 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration is proposing an aviation directive to address a potentially unsafe condition in CFM International LEAP-1A series jet engines.
This proposal stems from incidents where engine thrust control was lost due to icing in pressure sensor lines during takeoff. The agency's solution is to supersede a prior directive with a more permanent fix developed by the manufacturer.
