WASHINGTON, Aug. 6 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of the Treasury Internal Revenue Service is proposing a change to how employers determine an employee's line of business for tax purposes particularly for fringe benefits like employee discounts and no-additional-cost services. The plan would replace an antiquated classification system with a more current one aiming to reduce the administrative burden on employers and reflect today's economy.
