WASHINGTON, Aug. 5 (TNSFR) -- The Minnesota Historical Society is preparing to repatriate seven cultural items classified as unassociated funerary objects to the Chickasaw Nation.
These items, which consist of four metal ornaments, two metal rings, and one pair of spectacles, were taken from Lee County, Mississippi, at an unknown time. They were donated to the society in 1931 by the spouse of Gilbert L. Wilson, an ethnographer and minister who had collected them.
