WASHINGTON, Aug. 1 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has withdrawn a plan to acquire land for the Muleshoe National Wildlife Refuge, a move it says is in line with a presidential order to prioritize energy and agriculture. The decision revokes a land protection plan that was approved on June 15, 2023, and would have created an acquisition boundary for a potential addition of up to 700,000 acres to the refuge in Texas and New Mexico.
