Sac State to Repatriate Indigenous Artifacts to United Auburn Indian Community

WASHINGTON, July 29 (TNSFR) -- California State University, Sacramento, intends to repatriate a collection of nine lots of cultural items to the United Auburn Indian Community of the Auburn Rancheria of California. This action, taken under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), addresses objects determined to be of cultural patrimony.

The cultural items include modified and unmodified stones, faunal and plant remains, glass, metal, shell, anthropogenic . . .
