WASHINGTON, July 19 (TNSFR) -- J.K. Technologies, Baltimore, Maryland, has filed a petition with the U.S. Department of Transportation National Highway Traffic Safety Administration seeking to allow the importation of model year 2015 Ferrari LaFerrari passenger cars manufactured for sale in Europe or Mexico. The company argues these vehicles are substantially similar to those sold in the U.S. and can be readily modified to meet all applicable federal motor vehicle safety standards.
