Despite Solar Growth, India's Evening Peak Still Relies on Coal, IEEFA Report Finds

WASHINGTON, July 17 (TNSLrpt) -- India faces rapidly escalating peak electricity demand, largely driven by intense heatwaves and increased air conditioning use, especially in the afternoons and evenings. Despite significant solar capacity growth, the country remains heavily reliant on coal to meet the evening peak, missing opportunities to reduce emissions.
