Western Area Power Administration Adjusts Rates for Grid Expansion

WASHINGTON, July 16 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Energy Western Area Power Administration is adjusting its rates concerning transmission and ancillary services. This move comes as the Upper Great Plains region plans to expand its participation in the Southwest Power Pool, Little Rock, Arkansas, within the Western Interconnection. This collaboration will lead to new formula rates for transmission and ancillary services replacing previous agreements as the power grid evolves.
