WASHINGTON, July 15 (TNSFR) -- Nyrstar Tennessee Mines LLC, Strawberry Plains, has submitted a petition to the Mine Safety and Health Administration requesting a modification to existing mandatory safety standards. The company seeks to alter the application of a regulation concerning hoisting during shift changes at its Immel Mine in Knox County, Tennessee. The company wants to continue using its current hoisting system to transport both materials and miners in the same shaft during shift change . . .
