WASHINGTON, July 10 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management is working to transfer cultural items to lineal descendants, Indian tribes or native Hawaiian organizations. This action follows the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act. The items, defined as sacred objects or objects of cultural patrimony, were removed from federal or tribal lands.
