WASHINGTON, July 8 -- New York City Mayor Eric Adams issued Executive Order 53, creating the Mayor's Office to Facilitate Pro Bono Legal Assistance, an initiative aimed at connecting low-income New Yorkers with free and low-cost legal services.
The office will serve as a centralized hub to compile and disseminate information on available pro bono providers, coordinate opportunities for legal professionals to offer services, and increase public awareness of legal aid resources . . .
