WASHINGTON, June 27 -- New York City Mayor Eric Adams held a security briefing with NYPD commissioner Jessica Tisch ahead of Sunday's Pride Parade. Adams emphasized the city's commitment to protecting the LGBTQ+ community and outlined increased security measures, including 10,000 metal barriers, sanitation trucks, and a bolstered police presence, including counter-terrorism teams, helicopters, and drones, to ensure a safe celebration for over a million attendees.
