WASHINGTON, June 25 -- New York City Mayor Eric Adams participated in an ethnic media engagement with "Rusa Radio", discussing his administration's actions to combat antisemitism and hate crimes. Adams highlighted the establishment of a dedicated office to combat antisemitism, the first of its kind in a major U.S. city, noting that the Jewish community, comprising about 12% of the population, experienced approximately 57% of hate crimes in 2024 (345 incidents out of 641 total).
