WASHINGTON, June 23 -- New York City Mayor Eric Adams, joined by deputy mayor for Public Safety Kaz Daughtry and Fire Commissioner Robert Tucker, assessed damage from a five-alarm fire in University Heights, Bronx, and briefed the media. The fire, which injured 15 individuals including nine firefighters, four EMS workers, and two civilians, is believed to have been caused by lithium-ion batteries.
