Laser scanning reveals congestion and bottlenecks at the airport

This spring, sensors were installed in the departure hall of Helsinki Airport to anonymously monitor people flow. A collaborative project between researchers and businesses aims for smoother traffic, transport, and services in easily congested locations such as airports and underground stations.
