N.Y. Mayor Adams Extends Emergency Order to Address Ongoing Crisis in City Jails

WASHINGTON, June 12 -- New York City Mayor Eric Adams issued Emergency Executive Order 816 to extend provisions of a previous order addressing persistent staffing shortages and operational challenges in the city's Department of Correction facilities.
